The Trenkwald Chalet is situated in an idyllic secluded location at 1510m above sea level. It is located in the municipality of St. Leonhard, which stretches over small villages and hamlets over 25km through the upper Pitztal.
Winter sports enthusiasts can count on guaranteed snow from autumn to late spring in the Pitztal. The Pitztaler Gletscher-Rifflsee ski area is the highest ski area in Austria and is only 5km away from the chalet. The free ski bus stops 100m from the chalet and takes you to the valley station in just 6 minutes.
Access to the cross-country skiing trail is 150m away from the chalet. Together with an abundance of winter hiking trails and numerous frozen waterfalls, they offer an abundance of options for winter sports.
In summer, the mountains of the Pitztal offer unique impressions and opportunities, which can be experienced through idyllic walks as well as high-alpine mountain tours, beckoning right from the front door of the chalet.
Nature lovers can enjoy alpine climbing gardens, endless hiking trails, mountain lakes and waterfalls - and admire them directly from the balcony of the chalet. After an alpine hiking tour, mountain biking or trail running, the nearby natural pond with offers refreshment and relaxation.
The next restaurant is about 600m away in the neighboring hamlet. Within 4km there are a variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities.
